Ethel M. (Niemuth) Biebel, 95, of
La Crosse died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, surrounded
by her
family.
She was born in Oshkosh, Wis., on
Sept. 18, 1911, to Albert and Magdeline (Benz) Niemuth. She married
Norman Biebel on June 7, 1937, in
Oshkosh.
Ethel loved to join her friends
bowling and golfing and traveled throughout the world with her
husband,
Norman. She was also an avid gardener.
Ethel was a loving mother of two
daughters Joan (Guyal) Buckley of La Crosse and Jean (Charles)
Primm of
Huntley, Ill; 10 grandchildren,
Debi Primm, Daniel (Sandy) Primm, Cheryl (Bradley) Willis of
Hoffman Estates Ill., Brian (Sherrie) Alberts, Susan (Michael)
Konop of La Crosse, Molly (Thomas) Stenger of Onalaska, Wis.,
Michael (Dawn) Alberts of Lakeville, Minn., Guyal (Tammy) Buckley
of Rosemont, Minn., David (Jennifer) Buckley of Georgetown, Texas,
and Linda (Gavin) Waldeck of Boerne, Texas; 18 great-grandchildren;
one great-great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Norman; her parents; a brother, Albert Niemuth; a sister,
Henrietta Putzer; and a great-grandson,
Connor Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Mary, Mother of the
Church
Parish at St. Thomas More Church,
2006 Weston St. The Rev. Thomas ONeil will officiate, with
entombment in Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends and family
may call at the church Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time
of services. Memorials are requested to Franciscan Skemp Hospice
Program. Blaschke and Schneider Funeral Homes are assisting with
arrangements.
