Agnes Marie Kerstner, age 84, Wittenberg,
died Tuesday, December 06, 2005 at the Homme Home of
Wittenberg.
She was born July 22, 1921 in Zittau,
Wis., the daughter of the late Ernest and Emma (Kringel) Niemuth.
On June 8, 1940 Agnes was united
in marriage to Morgan Kerstner in Bowler. He preceded her in
death on
August 6, 1993 after 53 years of
marriage.
Agnes farmed side by side with Morgan
until their retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Paul
Lutheran Church, Wittenberg and
its Ladies Aid and was also a member of the LWML. Agnes was actively
involved in the Wittenberg Senior Center.
Survivors include five children,
Larry (special friend, Joanne) Kerstner, Wittenberg, Karen (Guy)
Murdock,
Tigerton, Shirley (Dennis) Leider,
Birnamwood, Kathryn (Jeff) Kern, Wausau and Sheila Kerstner,
Fond du Lac; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents,
Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and William
Niemuth and one sister, Ruth Miller.
Funeral services will be held at
9:30AM on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at St. Paul Lutheran Church,
Wittenberg. The Rev. Carl Brewer
will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg.
Friends may call from 5PM until 8PM on Friday at Schmidt-Schulta
Funeral Home, Wittenberg and again on Saturday from 8:30AM until
the time of services at the church.
