CRESWELL, Ore. - Alice Marie Gosda, 79, of Creswell, Ore. and formerly of Grand Island, died from
cancer at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Creswell Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Creswell
Pioneer Cemetery. England's Creswell Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gosda was born May 19, 1925, at Grand Island to Warren and Mable (McMullen) Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Gosda, on March 29, 1994.
Survivors of the immediate family include four children, Sondra Dunaway and Lenard Gosda, both of
Creswell, Lloyd Gosda Jr. of Lebanon, Ore., and Gene Gosda of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Alfred Davis of Cottage Grove, Ore.; and a sister, Alta "Dot" Blackburn of Grand Island.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Alice married Lloyd Gosda in Smith Center, Kan., on Feb. 24, 1946. They lived in Grand Island until they
moved to Creswell in 1956.
She worked for WEBCO and FirCrest in Creswell. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and especially her
grandkids. She attended Creswell Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer at the Senior Center in Cottage Grove, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Alberta Smith; and a brother, Eddie Davis.
