Delores Jean Niemoth, 75, of Grand Island died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at Bickford Cottage.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Grand Island Cemetery, with the Rev. David
McCreary officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Niemoth was born April 21, 1930, at Marysville, Kan., to Kenneth Carl and Ethel Mae (Rakestraw)
Ochsner.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert James Brooks, and her second husband, Herman
John Niemoth.
Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Terry Brooks of
Grand Island, and a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie L. and Dennis Werner of Lincoln.
Additional survivors include four granddaughters, Holly, Wendy, Jami and Jodi.
She received her education in Marysville, Kan., graduating from high school in 1948, and then graduated
from Beauty School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Robert James Brooks on June 4, 1949, at Marysville, at the Presbyterian Church. Two children were born to this union, James Robert Brooks and Jeannie Lynn Werner. Mr. Brooks preceded her in death in August of 1973, of cancer.
She married Herman John Niemoth on April 4, 1974. The couple lived on a farm northeast of Grand Island
until Mr. Niemoth died in June of 1983 of a heart attack.
She was a member of Faith Methodist Church, "Evening Star" Circle, Bible Class of Methodist Woman,
Platt-Duetsche Ladies Society, The Saddle Club and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Club.

Delores Niemoth was born April 21, 1930, at Marysville, the daughter of Kenneth and Ethel Rakestraw
Ochsner. She attended school in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School in 1948. She graduated from Beauty School in 1949.
She married Robert James Brooks June 4, 1949, at the Presbyterian Church, Marysville. He died in
August 1973 of cancer.
She married Herman John Niemoth April 4, 1974. He died of a heart attack in June 1983.
She was a member of Faith Methodist Church, Evening Star Circle, Bible class of Methodist Women,
