Clara (Gierach) Butzke's obituary --
- A funeral service will be held on
Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at David Star Ev. Lutheran Church
in
- Kirchhayn for Irene Butzke who died
on July 5, 2002 at the age of 92. Visitation will be held Friday
evening from 4-7 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg,
and also at the church on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Interment
will take place at David Star Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Martin
Jahnke, Rev. Kurt Loescher and Rev. Michael Woldt will all officiate
at the funeral service.
- Mrs. Butzke was born on Aug. 21,
1909 in Freistadt to the late Arthur Gierach and the late Ella
Gramoll.
- She was confirmed on April 8, 1923,
at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mequon. She later married the late
Edmund P. Butzke on Oct. 6, 1934. She was an active member at
David Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn.
- Survivors include: children Marlene
(Erwin) Groeler, Nelda (John) Clemens; grandchildren Tammy,
- Timothy, Sandy, Scott, Sherry; great-grandchildren
Krystal, Jason, Collin, Brendon; brother Helmuth Gierach; sisters:
Norma Hafemeister, Selma Tews, Leona Hamann.
- Further survived by nieces, nephews,
many other relatives and friends.
- She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband Edmund Butzke, and six brothers.
- Memorials to the David Star Ev.
Lutheran Church Window Fund are appreciated.
