Evelyn (Grosch) Lamm's obituary --
- Esther E. Lamm, 97, of Grand Island
died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center.
- Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday
at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Joel Schroeder officiating.
- Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial
Park Cemetery.
- Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until
service time Friday at the church. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral
- Home is in charge of arrangements.
- Mrs. Lamm was born Feb. 12, 1907,
at Bartley to Max and Elizabeth (Fritz) Grosch.
- She was preceded in death by her
husband, Carl, on March 17, 1999.
- Survivors of the immediate family
include a daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Linden Bockmann
of
- Palmer; a sister, Mabel Hinkle of
Silver Creek; and a brother, Francis Grosch of Hot Springs, S.D.
- She was also preceded in death by
two infant sons and an infant daughter.
- Also left to cherish her memory
are two grandchildren, Cindy and her husband, Jim Campbell, of
Kearney,
- and Les and his wife, Barbara Bockmann,
of Palmer; four great-grandchildren, Melissa Bockmann of Lincoln,
Michael Bockmann of St. Libory, Brian Campbell of Fremont and
Eric Campbell of Kearney.
- She moved with her family to several
communities, returning to Bartley, where she completed her
- education.
- She was united in marriage to Carl
Lamm on Dec. 7, 1931, at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church parsonage.
- She and her husband farmed near
St. Libory until moving to Grand Island in 1977 to Lebensraum.
- Mrs. Lamm was a member of St. Pauls
Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, garden and family.
- Also preceding her in death is a
sister, two brothers and an infant brother.
