Ernie Bonness' obituary --
- O'NEILL -- Ty Bonness, 97, of O'Neill
died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at The Good Samaritan Center in
- Atkinson.
- Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday
at the Archer Zion United Methodist Church in Archer. The Rev.
Rich
- Savage will officiate. Burial will
be in the Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island.
- Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, and one hour before the
service
- at the church.
- Mr. Bonness was born Feb. 15, 1907,
at Archer to Paul and Lydia (Retzlaff) Bonness.
- He was preceded in death by his
wife, Cora, in 1974.
- Survivors of the immediate family
include, a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Virgil Holz
of
- O'Neill; and a son, Paul Bonness
of Albuquerque, N.M.
- Also surviving are three grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
- Ty attended school in Archer, graduating
from the Archer High School. He continued his education at the
- North East Central College in Central
City.
- Ty married Cora Niemoth in July
of 1936, at Gibbon. He owned and operated the Bonness Brothers
IGA
- in Archer for over 50 years.
