Paula Anna Amanda Kunze, 92, of Grand Island died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at the Wedgewood Care
Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. A family prayer service will be at 10:45
a.m. The Revs. Martin Schmidt and Ronald Benson will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran School.
Mrs. Kunze was born Feb. 24, 1910, at Grand Island to Henry and Dorthea (Schinkel) Trampe. She was
educated at District 7 West and at Trinity Lutheran School. She was confirmed on May 13, 1923. She then attended Grand Island Senior High and graduated in 1927. Following her education she was employed as a secretary for the principal at Grand Island Senior High.
She married Frank A. Kunze on Oct. 1, 1930, at Grand Island. The couple farmed for many years north-
east of Grand Island. Mrs. Kunze was also employed at the Kaufman's Department Store and later the Gambles store in Grand Island. She retired in 1978.
She enjoyed embroidering, cross-stitching and working puzzle books.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ruth Society, where she served on the committee that
served lunches at farm sales, the Trinity Golden Years and was active in her Bible Class at Trinity.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and LaurenceOtto of Olathe, Kan., and
Marlene and Marvin Peters of Grand Island; fourgrandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; a granddaughter; six brothers, Fred Trampe, Walter
Trampe, Elmer Trampe, Ervin Trampe, Herman Trampe and Ernest Trampe and by four sisters, Minnie Kauffelt, Ella Schwarz, Laura Trampe and Esther Wagner.
