Caroline (Kunze) Luth's obituary --
- RAVENNA -- Hilda Luth, 94, of Ravenna
died Monday, June 26, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.
- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday
at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna. The Rev. Steven
- Schlund will officiate. Burial will
be in the Sodtown Cemetery.
- Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday at the church.
- Memorials are suggested to the church.
- Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna is
in charge of arrangements.
- Mrs. Luth was born Dec. 20, 1905,
to Reinhardt and Augusta (Niemoth) Kunze in Howard County. At
the
- age of 3, she moved with her parents
to a farm north of Grand Island in Hall County. She was educated
in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School.
She also attended Grand Island Business School.
- She married George Luth on Jan.
1, 1929. The couple lived on a farm southeast of Ravenna.
- She was a member of the Bethlehem
Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society. She was also a stamp
- chairman for Bethlehem Lutheran
Church for a number of years. When she retired and moved to Ravenna,
she was a volunteer for the Senior Citizens of Ravenna.
- Survivors include one daughter,
Marcia Nelson of Ansley; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
- She was preceded in death by her
husband in 1977; one son, Clifford in 1995 and two brothers.
