Morgan M. Kerstner, age 74, of Route 2 Wittenberg died Friday, Aug. 6, 1993 at the Wausau Hospice
Unit of Wausau Hospital. He was born April 16, 1919 in the Town of Almon, the son of the late Otto and Bertha (Gutt) Kerstner. He married Agnes M. Niemuth on June 8, 1940 in Bowler and she survives. For a short time after his marriage he farmed in the Town of Almon, then moved to the Town of Birnamwood where he operated a dairy farm for many years. He was a past constable for the town of Birnamwood and was a member of the Wittenberg Fish and Game Club.
Survivors besides his wife, inclue son Larry (Arlene) Kerstner of Schofield, 4 daughters: Karen (Guy)
Murdock of Tigerton, Shirley (Dennis) Leider of Birnamwood, Kathryn (Jeff) Kern of Wausau and Sheila (John) Fritsch of Theresa, WI. 3 sisters: Amanda Stillman and Adella (Edwin) Bernarde all of Bowler and Violet Kmiecik of Schofield. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Services were held Monday August 9, 1993 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The
Rev. John D. Pavel officiated and burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. The Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg was in charge of arrangements.

Morgan Martin Kerstner, age 74, Wittenberg, town of Birnamwood, died Friday, August 6, 1993 at
Wausau Hospice.
He was born April 16, 1919 in the town of Almon, the son of the late Otto and Bertha (Gutt) Kerstner.
On June 8, 1940 Morgan was united in marriage to Agnes Niemuth in Bowler. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Larry (Arlene) Kerstner, Schofield; four daughters,
Karen (Guy) Murdock, Tigerton, Shirley (Dennis) Leider, Birnamwood, Kathryn (Jeff) Kern, Wausau and Sheila (John) Fritsch, Theresa, WI; three sisters, Amanda Stillman, Bowler, Adella (Edwin) Bernarde, Bowler and Violet Kmiecik, Schofield; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Elmer, Leonard, Herman, Melvin, Erick and
Reuben, one sister and two grandchildren, James and Timothy.
Funeral services were held August 9, 1993 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. John
Pavel officiated. Interment was in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg.
