Minnie (Tokarski) Behm's obituary --
- Irene Minnie Behm, age 86, of West
Bloomfield, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday December 17,
- 1994, at Riverside Medical Center
in Waupaca. She was born on May 06, 1908 in the Town of Wolf
River, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Herman and Hermina
(Schuelke) Tokarski.
- She was married September 22, 1926,
in St John Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield to Alfred Pagel
- [note: this was retracted the next
night - she was married to Alfred Behm]. He preceded her in death
on October 31, 1986.
- Irene was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church, West Bloomfield and a past member of their Ladies Aid.
- She and her husband farmed for many
years in the Town of Bloomfield and they owned & operated
a pickle receiving station. Irene was a member of Fremont Friendly
Seniors and the Neighborhood Card Club. She was also a volunteer
for the SHARE Program.
- Survivors include 3 daughters, Beatrice
(Arthur) Scheller, Bernice (Wayne) MacFarlane, all of Oshkosh,
- Beverly (Gary) Gensler, Weyauwega,
6 sons; Orville (Joann), Oshkosh, Dennis(JoAnne), Winneconne,
Delmar (Joan), Fremont, Roger (Barbara), Appleton, Stanley, Larry
(Sherry), all of Fremont, 34 grandchildren, 26 g. grandchildren,
3 g.g. grandchildren, a sister Eden Tesch, Appleton, a brother
Rudolph (Dolores) Tokarski, Manawa, a sister-in-law Dorothy Behm,
Waupaca, and nieces and nephews.
- She was preceded in death by 2 daughters,
Betty Lou & Sandy, a son Alfred, Jr., and 2 sisters , Sarah
- Bauer & Edith Ristau.
- Funeral Services will be held on
Tuesday December 20, 1994, at 11:00 AM from Christ Lutheran Church
- in West Bloomfield. Rev. Randolph
Blech will officiate. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, West
Bloomfield. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont,
on Monday, December 19, 1994, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on
Tuesday from 8-9 AM and then at church until the time of service.
