Herbert Eckstein's obituary --
- Larsen - Lewis Herbert Eckstein
72 Larsen, died Monday afternoon at his home.
- He was born Nov 3 1913 in the town
of Vinland, the son of Louis and Bertha Niemuth Eckstein. He
- married Patricia Ray Nov 8 1940
in Winchester. Mr Eckstein had farmed in the town of Vinland.
After his marriage, he farmed in the town of Dale. In 1956 he
moved to Winchester where he farmed and worked for the Leach
Co of Oshkosh. After 1970 he owned and operated Eckstein Produce.
He had been a food administrator during World War II and was
a member of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Grace Lutheran
Church and the Lutheran Brotherhood.
- Surviving are his widow, three daughters,
Mrs. Stephen (Judith) Albee Hancock Mich; Mrs Arthur
- (Jean) Merry Oshkosh; and Mrs Edward
(Janet) Fritz Franklin; three sons Everett Wild Rose; Lewis Larsen;
and Curtis Two Rivers; two brothers Abraham Sr and Oscar both
of Oshkosh; two sisters, Mrs Merle (Myrtle) Lee and Mrs William
(Betty) Olson both of Neenah; 10 grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
- Services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday
in Grace Lutheran Church the Rev. Richard A Dahlin officiating.
- Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, Wednesday
after 5 P.M., and at the church Thursday from 10 A.M. to the
time of services.
