The Niemuth Family -- Generation 7

-- Minnie M. M. (Niemuth) Hanneman's obituary --

Death Leaves Four Children Motherless
Relatives, friends and acquaintances were shocked to hear of the untimely death of Mrs. Louis
Hanneman which occurred at 5:15 last Friday morning at St. Luke's hospital in Duluth.
Death followed an operation for gall stones and appendicitis.
Deceased has suffered from gall stone attacks for the last four years. Seven weeks before her operation
she went to St Luke's hospital where she was treated for pneumonia. She was at the hospital three weeks when she returned to her home where she remained until last Tuesday evening when she was taken to the hospital. She was operated upon Wednesday morning. She came out of the ether shortly after the operation, but her weakened condition could not withstand the operation. She was conscious until a few moments before she passed away and talked with her husband shortly before she passed into that sleep from which there is no awakening.
Minnie Niemuth was the daughter of Charles Niemuth and Anna Elandt. She was born in the town of
Wolf River on November 23, 1890 and was united in marriage with Louis Hanneman in the East Bloomfield church on April 16, 1913.
The young couple lived at Clarks Mill until 1919 when they moved to Manistique, Mich., where they lived
until May 1926 when they moved to Saginaw, Minn.
Deceased is survived by her sorrowing husband, four children, Vera 12, Verna 9, Gerhardt 7, and Gerold
4 years of age, her mother Mrs. Charles Niemuth of Baldwin Mills, seven brothers, Henry, Leo and Walter of Waupaca, Frank who lives on the old homestead in the town of Wolf River, Otto of Helvetia, Emil near Seymour, Harry at home with mother; three sisters, Mrs Albert Koepp of the town of Wolf River, Mrs. Ralph Gertsch of Waupaca and Miss Ruth at home.
On account of some of the relatives being unable to accompany the remains, services were conducted by
Rev George Appel at Johnsons' undertaking chapel in Duluth.
The remains arrived in Weyauwega on Saturday morning over the Soo Line and were taken to the home
of her husband's sister, Mrs George Hinz where they remained until on Saturday afternoon when they were taken to St. Peters Lutheran church where Rev. M. Hensel delivered an impressive funeral sermon to an audience that taxed the capacity of the edifice.
Her six brothers Henry, Otto, Frank, Emil, Leo and Walter acted as pallbearers and the Mrs Edna
Koepp, Rose Krause, Lela Niemuth and Lucille Hafemeister were the flower girls.
The church was filled to overflowing with relatives, friends and acquaintances, who came to pay their last
respects to the departed. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and attested the esteem in which she was held by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.
The children's choir of the church rendered her favorite hymn, "Abide with me".
Internment was made in the Baldwin Mill's cemetery.
The following from away were here to attend the funeral; Mr and Mrs. Ed Eland, Marion, Mr and Mrs.
Frank Much, Mr. and Mrs. Art Much, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paap, Otto Tank, New London; Mr. and Mrs. John Niemuth, Tigerton; Mrs. R. Niemuth, Rudolph Niemuth and son Emil, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Niemuth, Zittau; Mr. and Mrs. Wm Utecht, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Niemuth, Birnamwood; Mr and Mrs. Henry Hidde, Hortonville; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Much Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Al Kregel, Mr and Mrs. Henry Zellmer, and Miss Martha Zellmer, Larsen; besides a few whose names we were unable to obtain.
Card of Thanks: We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for their assistance during our recent
bereavement; also those who contributed the beautiful floral offerings, Rev Hensel for his words of comfort, the teacher and the childrens' choir for their song and those who furnished the autos.
