Mrs Ernestina Litzau, 96, died early Saturday at her home in the town of Wolf River, after a lingering
illness. She was born in Carvenbruch, Germany, Jan 13 1840, and came to the town of Wolf River with her husband Martin Litzau in 1877, where she lived since that time. Her husband died in 1889. Six children were born, four of whom are living. They are Mrs. Fritz Fahser, Symco; Mrs. Gustave Schmidt, Manawa; and Miss Amelia Litzau and Charles Litzau, town of Wolf River. Also surviving are a half-brother, John Niemuth, Tigerton and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at St John's
Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield. The Rev A.E. Schneider will be in charge. Burial will be at the East Bloomfield cemetery.

Mrs. Ernestina Litzau, 96, died at 11:30 o'clock on Friday night at her home in the town of Wolf River,
following a lingering illness.
She was born in Carvenbruch, Germany, Jan. 13, 1839, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johann
Yonger.
Miss Yonger was married in Germany to Martin Litzau, coming to the United States and directly to Wolf
River in 1877.
Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Fritz Fahser of Symco, Mrs. Gustave Schmidt of Manawa, Miss
Amelia Litzau of Wolf River; one son, Charles Litzau of Wolf River; one half-brother, August Niemuth of Tigerton; one half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Young of East Bloomfield; also 11 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.A. Schneider at 1 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon at the home
and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church, East Bloomfield. Interment was in East Bloomfield Cemetery.
