- San Leandro man killed in accident
- SAN LEANDRO -- A San Leandro man
was killed and a Newark man injured in a single-car accident
on
- East 14th Street early Saturday,
according to highway patrolmen.
- Killed was Daniel E. Niemoth, 26.
Patrolmen said he was a passenger in a car driven by George
Klein,
- 23, which ran off East 14th Street
southbound just north of 166th Avenue and struck a pole.
- Niemoth was dead on arrival at Eden
Hospital. Klein was treated at Fairmont Hospital and released.
- The accident is under investigation.
