-- Dale Harold Kressin --

A Jackson truck driver was convicted Thursday on charges resulting from a fatal accident on Interstate
43 in Sheboygan County last October.
Dale H. Kressin, 60, plead no contest to charges of homicide by negligent use of a motor vehicle and
second-degree reckless injury, according to the Sheboygan County Clerk of Courts Office.
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered, and no sentencing date has been scheduled at this time.
The charges stemmed from an Oct. 11 accident that killed Maria B. Perron, 34, of Caledonia, Ill., and
injured four others.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department, Kressin was driving a semi-truck northbound
on I-43 in the right lane. While attempting to make an illegal U-turn at a median crossover, he pulled into the path of a another semi in the left lane.
The two trucks collided, overturning Kressin's rig and sending it into the southbound lanes, where it struck
a sport utility vehicle carrying Perron, her husband and another couple. Perron and Suzannah M. Young, 28, of Rockford Ill. were ejected. Young suffered serious injuries.
The accident closed southbound I-43 for nearly seven hours.
