Business, Social Meeting is Held
At the business and social meeting of the Tyrian temple No. 43 of the Pythian Sisters, held yesterday at

Pythian Sisters to Hold Dinner Event
Phythian Sisters of Tyrian temple No. 43, will hold a Christmas dinner event at the Oshkosh public
museum, Wednesday evening, Dec. 16. The chicken dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock to members who are entitled to each bring a guest. Everyone will bring a gift to exchange.
There will be a Christmas tree and entertainment after the dinner and business meeting. Reservations
must be made before Tuesday with Mrs. Myron Jovagg, Mrs. Nova Niemuth and Mrs. Velva Wabnitz.

News of What Women Are Doing in Clubs, Homes and Society
Installation Held By Pythian Sisters
Impressive ritual marked the installation of officers of Pythian Sisters of Tyrian temple No. 43, last
evening at the Oshkosh museum. The new officers were installed as follows: Past chief, Mrs. Myrtle Jovaag; most excellent chief, Mrs. Blanche Tyriver; excellent senior, Mrs. Nina Warner; excellent junior, Mrs. Clara Bullis; manager, Mrs. Velva Wabnitz; mistress of finance, Mrs. Nelea Deer; mistress of records and correspondence, Mrs. Nova Niemuth; guard, Mrs. Jean Bathke. Mrs. Alma Mallery acted as installing officer, assisted by Mrs. Berenice Blitz and Mrs. Henrietta Apel...
The next meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 20th and regular business will be transacted.

Pythian Sisters Install Mrs. Marie Junkins as Chief
... The installing officer was Mrs. Nova Niemuth assisted by Mrs. Letha Fuller as grand senior and Mrs.
Beryl Weideman as grand manager. Corsages were presented to all officers by little Karen Bodoh who represents the fourth generation in a family of Pythian Sisters. Karen's great-grandmother is Mrs. Nina Warner; her grandmother, Mrs. Gladys Bodoh; and her mother, Mrs. Irene Bodoh, all of whom are members of the Tyrian Temple...

Ways and Means Committee Reports
Pythian Sisters of Tyrian Temple, 43, held their regular meetingThursday evening at the Odd Fellows
Hall. The ways and means committee presented its program for the year and the committees were appointed.
Following the meeting lunch was served and cards were played with prizes awarded to Mrs. Florence
Pope, Mrs. Berniece Blitz and Mrs. Clara Bullis.
Hostesses for the evening were the Mesdames Marcella Lloyd, Nova Niemuth and Henrietta Apel.
Special prize for the evening was awarded to Mrs. Beryl Weideman.

Pythian Sisters Elect Delegate
The last meeting of Tyrian Temple 43, Pythian Sisters, for the summer, was held Thursday evening at
Odd Fellows Hall.
Mrs. Nova Niemuth was elected delegate to the annual state convention to be held in Milwaukee, Aug.
5, 6 and 7.
The annual picnic will be held at Menominee Park, Sunday, Aug. 19, at 4 p.m. It will be a potluck affair
with members bringing a hot dish, their own table service and sandwiches. All members have been urged to attend this event.
Sept. 6 will be the next meeting of the group. The Mesdames Viola Bublitz, Mae Ginnow and Henrietta
Apel will be hostesses.

Mrs. Niemuth Is Elected State Auxiliary Historian
Members of the Nelson A. Miles Camp and Auxiliary of the United Spanish War veterans have returned
from attending the 57th department convention at Milwaukee this week.
Representatives from Oshkosh were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Canniff, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swope, the local
commander and his wife, Mrs. Nova Niemuth, local auxiliary president; and Mrs. E. B. Wright. Ralph Canniff presided as department commander and was succeeded by Edward J. Miller of Oconomowoc.
Mrs. Niemuth was elected department historian of the auxiliaries and Mrs. Wright was appointed
department chief of staff. Mrs. Hebert Geitman, Beaver Dam, presided at the auxiliary meetings and was succeeded by Mrs. Dorothy Chadburn of Milwuakee.
A $250 nurses scholarship was awarded by the auxiliaries.
