Canada late May 2006

meeting Geoff and Pam

Geoff has been an internet friend of mine for over four years - we met through an online group where ,although he lives in Canada, we discovered we both came from the same part of England and then last year I persuaded him to join another online group where his talents at graphics and photography could be used and this was our first meeting `in the flesh` ....Les and I had flown to Vancouver to start a trip of Canada and USA and we met up with Geoff and Pam for a wonderful day together when Geoff showed us the beautiful sights of his city of Vancouver

no way was I stepping onto that suspension bridge..lol.........but Les and Geoff did

the Treetops bridge at Capilano and then Les and Geoff at Cleveland Dam

I did however pluck up courage to ride up Grouse Mountain on the cable car and heres a view from it

there was plenty of snow still lying at the top of the mountain

wonderful wood carvings at the top of the mountain

we then went on to visit the historic fort at Fort Langley

and heres a pic of me, Les and Pam out for dinner that evening
