I'm afraid I don't have access to the rear of it. I believe the image was taken in Wales (possibly Radnorshire or Rhondda). I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Derek Savage This is my gt. grandmother in the Rhondda Valley, she was born in 1872 - [I think this is her 18th birthday photo in a new dress.] front------plain back I believe that my gt grandmother (in the single shot) is the same person as on the left in the group photo that I sent. I note that she does have a wedding ring in that one - she married in 1892. If it's her, I think she looks a few years older in the group shot, don't you? [Yes and she may have on the same top just modified with larger sleeves to go with the fashion.] [The tops with those sleeves, especially the girl at the back, are in my opinion from 1893. This may have been taken by a travelling photographer. The red band is not a dateable feature, but the look of the card is ok for that date.] front------plain back Many thanks for the family photos Derek - Roger Vaughan Just visited your site. Here's a photo of my great-gran, taken ca. 1905. Her name was Rosa Jane Surridge (1888-1973) and she was from Ongar, Essex.
