Reported from Limerick, 30th July: Treneglos, when coming up the river under full steam, got ashore on the

Bridges Rocks and is in a dangerous position. Lighters are about being sent to her.

Reported from Limerick, 31st July: Treneglos, reported yesterday on Bridges Rocks, parted during night, bow

dropping into deep water; aperture in side fully 3ft; midship portion high up on rock; stern also dropped considerably;

cargo washing out of No.2 hold; fear whatever is saved will be all damaged; crew employed salving stores;

two lighters alongside loading cargo.

Reported from Limerick, 8 Aug: Lloyds Agents have saved and sold by auction about 700 tons damaged

maize ex steamer Treneglos, realising £2,400 in round numbers; the charges will be heavy and of course will

come out of the said sum.  It is thought likely that about 100 tons more cargo may be saved from the

after part of the wreck.

The Death of Richard Paynter Roach was reported 6th September 1888; no details available.

Wrecked near St. Nazaire on November 14th, 1899, carrying a cargo of coal from Cardiff to St. Nazaire.
