husband of Harriett Tibballs, in the 84th year of his age.

John emigrated from London, England with
his wife and 8 children per
Antipodes.
John stated that his family were sent out
by Lady HERBERT through the family colonization society and that the decline in
his trade did cause him to emigrate. He brought with him a letter for the Bishop of Tasmania from
Reverend W BELLAIRS, Rector of Bedworth. Note
that the name ‘Bellairs’ was given to their first child born in Hobart.
