Margaret was born to William DOBSON and Anne RICHARDSON on 25 December 1843 in Launceston.  Her birth was registered on 25 January 1944.  The informant was John MITCHELL of Charles St, Launceston.

Margaret was buried in July 1900 at the Hagley Methodist Church cemetery (now the Uniting Church).  The tombstone inscription reads:

God Shall Wipe All Tears Away
In Loving Memory of
Andrew H Hingston
died 15th Jan 1924
aged 76 years
also his beloved wife
Margaret Hingston
died 9th July 1900
aged 56 years
also
Effie L Hingston
beloved daughter of above
died 15th Jan 1911
aged 28 years.

Marriage

Andrew Henry HINGSTON married Margaret DOBSON on 6 May 1868 at Whitemore, Westbury.  Andrew was a farmer and bachelor aged 21 years.  Margaret was a spinster aged 24 years.  

They were married in the private house of W DOBSON (Margaret's father) of Whitemoor in the district of Westbury.  They were married by Joseph WATERHOUSE according to the rites and ceremonies of the Wesleyan Church by virtue of Act 23.  Their marriage was registered on 6 May 1868.  

Witnesses to the marriage were of Henry HINGSTON  (Andrew's father), Henry DOBSON (Margaret's eldest brother) and Mary MASTERMAN.
