Cremation

Hubert William Henry HINGSTON was cremated on 22 March 1961 at Carr Villa Crematorium, Launceston.  His ashes are in the Colonnade Wall at Carr Villa, A-68.   The inscription reads:

In Loving Memory of
Hubert
W H Hingston
Passed Away
20th March 1961
Aged 82 years

Hubert's funeral notice in the newspaper stated that the private funeral would leave the funeral chapel after a service at 1.45 p.m. Wednesday for Carr Villa Crematorium.  No flowers or cards by request.

Death

Hubert William Henry HINGSTON died on 20 March 1961 at Launceston aged 82 years (in his 83rd year).  His death notice in The Mercury of 23 March 1961 read:

HINGSTON – On March 20, 1961, at a private hospital, Launceston, Hubert William Henry, dearly beloved husband of Marion Blanche Hingston, White Hills, and loving father of Douglas (Sprent), Winifred (Mrs H Lewis, White Hills), Hazel (Mrs J Cowley, Mt Seymour), Muriel (Mrs Glover, Melb), Doris (Melb), Freda (Mrs F Jackman, Hobart), Athol (White Hills), Herbert (White Hills), and Wesley (St Leonards), in his 83^rd year.  No condolences, by request.  Privately cremated March 22.
