Cremation

Hazel was cremated on 24 April 1984 at Carr Villa Crematorium, Launceston.  Her ashes are in I-1 Northern Wall of Remembrance (near the chapel), niche 1 - they were placed there on 27 July 1984.  Registration No. 12535.  Funeral Directors:  C T Finney.  Epitaph reads:

Death

Hazel's death notice in the newspaper read:

COWLEY, Hazel Joy. - Passed away on April 22, 1984, at the LGH, loved and loving wife of John William Cowley, loved mother and mother-in-law of Rex and Lorraine, Lindsay and Janet, Viv and Rita, Geoff and Val and Aileen and Bruce, loving Nanna of all her grandchildren.  In her 78th year.  No flowers or condolences by her request.  Private cremation at Carr Villa Creamatorium, Today, Tuesday, April 24, 1984, at 3 pm.

Marriage

John William COWLEY married Hazel Joy HINGSTON on 17 November 1928.  They were married at the Methodist Church, 96 Margaret St, Launceston. 

Hazel and John went to school together at White Hills; both living in the White Hills area whilst growing up.
