Burial

John was buried 16 June 1925 at Carr Villa Monumental Cemetery. The funeral directors were C T Finney. The tombstone inscription reads:

Marriage

John CHUGG married Charlotte Louisa CREW on 7 July 1876 at the Independent Church, Tamar St, Launceston according to the rites and ceremonies of Independents by license. They were married by Chat PRICE.

Witnesses to the marriage were Richard William CHUGG (John's eldest brother) and Ellen CHUGG (nee GEE - Richard William's wife).

John was a bachelor and an adult. Charlotte was a spinster and a minor.
