Birth

Charlotte was born on 31 October 1857 to William Cain CREW and Elizabeth HELEY in Launceston.  The informant was her father, W C CREW of Launceston.  Her birth was registered on 4 December 1857 by George CATHCART.

Burial

Charlotte was buried on 24 September 1930 at Carr Villa Monumental Cemetery.  The funeral was held at residence of her son-in-law, Mr Roy CHICK of 457 Wellington St, Sandhill. 

The funeral directors were CT Finney.  The tombstone inscription reads:

aged 80 years

Death

Charlotte died on 22 September 1930 aged 72 years.  Her death notice in The Mercury of 23 Sep 1930 read:

CHUGG – On September 22, 1930, at her residence, Kia Ora, Everton, White Hills, Charlotte Louisa, beloved widow of the late John Chugg, late of Corra Lynn, in her 73^rd year.

Marriage

John CHUGG married Charlotte Louisa CREW on 7 July 1876 at the Independent Church, Tamar St, Launceston according to the rites and ceremonies of Independents by license.  They were married by Chat PRICE.  

Witnesses to the marriage were Richard William CHUGG (John's eldest brother) and Ellen CHUGG (nee GEE - Richard William's wife).  

John was a bachelor and an adult.  Charlotte was a spinster and a minor.
