Birth

An unnamed male child, believed to be Arthur, was born on 24 March 1868 to William COWLEY and Ann DALY.  However, Arthur’s age given on his marriage certificate suggests he was born in 1867.

This unnamed male child’s birth record possibly could be that of William, his brother.  The informant of the birth was William COWLEY of White Hills.  The birth was registered on 31 March 1868.

Properties

Arthur Archibald COWLEY bought land for a farm at White Hills which incorporated the triangle of land between Cowley Rd, Blessington Rd and Evandale Rd at White Hills.  The farm house, now derelict, is still visible at the corner of Blessington Rd and Evandale Rd.  Apparently, Arthur Archibald purchased the land with money he earnt at the Kalgoorlie gold fields in the late 1890s.
