Samuel Williams Dead
The Grim Reaper visited one of Scottsburg's homes Sunday morning at 2 o'clock and removed from the hearthstone, the head of the family, Samuel Williams, one of the town's good citizens.
He had been in failing health the past year, but his condition did not become serious until the past few months.
Besides the bereaved widow, Millie Williams, he leaves a son at home and a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Taggart, of Hicksville, O., two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Anderson and Mrs. Oliver Richey, and two brothers, W. A. Williams, of Indianapolis, and T. B. Williams, of Florida. He was a native of Washington county, but had resided here for many years. He was an ardent K. of P. and took great interest in the Order.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 P.M. at the M. E. Church, with burial at Scottsburg cemetery.
