bullet  General Notes:

Phillip Perry - found in Perquimans county, North Carolina. His will is dated 5 July 1751. He married Elizabeth Hunter and is believed to be the father of seven Perry brothers who settled in Granville county, North Carolina in 1746. In addition, he had eight children from a second marriage.

Abstacts of North Carolina Wills:
July 5, 1751 October Court, 1751: Sons: Jesse (lands on Little River known by the name of Sandy Hook), Phillip ("plantation whereon I now live"). Daughters: Sarah, Mary, Rachel, Jude, Elizabeth and Miriam. Executor: Jacob Perry, son of Jacob Perry. Witnesses: Moses Field, Benjamin Perry, Elizabeth Perry. Clerk of the Court: Edmund Hatch.

Note: in the will only the children from the second marriage mentioned. It is said children from the first marriage did not approve of his second marriage. The seven brothers left Virginia for North Carolina and supposedly had no contact with their father after that time. It is noted that with a number of generations naming sons Phillip, none of the seven brothers ever named a son Phillip.
