He married Harriet White, daughter of George White and Sarah Colby, on 14 November 1844.2

Oliver Bailey Jr. was a member of the legislature.2

The census of 1860 shows Oliver Bailey Jr., 38, a farmer with $5000 real estate and $1000 personal estate, and Harriet Bailey, 39, listed with Sarah Bailey, Mark Bailey and George Bailey living at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Also in the household were two day laborers, Simeon Heath, 22; and John F. Gill, 33.1

The census of 1870 shows Oliver Bailey, 48, a farmer with $5000 real estate and $1500 personal estate, and Harriet W. Bailey, 49, keeping house, listed with Sarah J. Bailey, Mark Bailey and George Bailey living at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Also living there was Eli Sarah, 23, a farm laborer from Canada.3

The census of 1880 shows Oliver Bailey, 58, farmer and cattle dealer, and Harriett Bailey, wife, 58, housekeeper, listed with George O. Bailey living at Dunbarton.4
