Houghton and Hattie M. Houghton living at West Berlin P.O., Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Also living there were Charles H. Newhall, 38, a farm laborer; and Betsy Houghton, 70, keeping house.2

The census of 1880 shows Ephraim W. Houghton, Ephraim was a farmer. His daughter Emorgene was a teacher. Also in the household was a farm laborer, Joshua Barrett, 23, and Frances E. Houghton, listed with Emorgene A. Houghton and Hattie M. Houghton living at Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.3

She died on 25 June 1899 in Harvard, at age 57.

Descendants of Thomas and Joan (Kirby) Hale
     Harriet H. Houghton was born on 21 July 1804 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. She was the daughter of Major Jonathan Houghton and Rachael Hale.

She died on 3 September 1804 in Waterford.
