He married Marie Antoinette Billings on 22 November 1835 in Waterford.

He died before 1880.¹

     Catherine Alice Houghton was born on 3 May 1856 in Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Marcellus Houghton and Catherine Charlotte Fogg.¹ The census of 1860 shows Catherine A. Houghton, 4, at school, in the household of Marcellus Houghton and Catherine C. Houghton, at Harvard P.O., Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.²

She married Warren Herbert Fairbank, son of Andrew Fairbanks and Anne Augusta Houghton, on 14 September 1876 . They were second cousins. Catherine was a resident of Concord.¹ The census of 1880 shows Kittie A. Fairbank in the household of Andrew Fairbanks and Ann A. Fairbank, at Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.³

The census of 1900 shows Warren H. Fairbank, 23, a farmer, and Katherine A. Fairbank, 23, mother of 3, of whom 2 were still living, listed with Alice A. Fairbank and Mildred E. Fairbank living at Harvard. Also living there were Helen C. Farnsworth, 23, a boarder and school teacher; and Frank Flynn, 25, a servant, farm laborer from Ireland.⁴

     Charles L. Houghton was born in 1841 or 1842 in Maine. He was the son of Lieutenant Cyrus Houghton and Leonora Thorpe. The census of 1850 shows Charles L. Houghton in the household of Cyrus Houghton, at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.¹

     Clarence H. Houghton was born on 11 August 1875 in Maine.¹ He was the son of John Douglass Houghton and Clara I. Crowell. The census of 1880 shows Clarence H. Houghton in the household of John D. Houghton and Clara I. Houghton, at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.¹

He married Eva H. Robinson on 18 April 1900 in Maine.²

The census of 1900 shows Clarence H. Houghton, age 24, a motorman for the electric railroad, living at Portland.³

The census of 1930 shows Clarence H. Houghton, age 54; and sister in law, Yarnette R. Thompson, living at South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.⁴

     Clarissa Augusta Houghton was born on 29 October 1843 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. She was the daughter of Calvin M. Houghton and Marie Antoinette Billings.

     Cordelia Augustus Houghton was born on 2 March 1829 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. She was the daughter of Lieutenant Cyrus Houghton and Leonora Thorpe. The census of 1850 shows Cordelia Augustus Houghton in the household of Cyrus Houghton, at Waterford.¹

She married Joseph Shattuck.²

The census of 1880 shows Joseph Shattuck, a carpenter, and Cordella A. Shattuck, listed with J. Herbert Shattuck, Alice L. Shattuck, Cyrus Houghton and Leonora Houghton living at Winchester, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.²

     Cyrus Parsons Houghton was born on 27 October 1826 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Lieutenant Cyrus Houghton and Leonora Thorpe.

He married Aresta Hawks.¹

The census of 1880 shows Cyrus P. Houghton, Cyrus was a farmer. Also in the household were his mother-in-law, Mary Hawks, 82, from Maine, and Christian Strelluff, 28, a laborer from Denmark, and Aresta Houghton, listed with Florine Houghton living at Algoma, Winnebago, Wisconsin.¹

     Daniel Houghton was born on 21 July 1804 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Major Jonathan Houghton and Rachael Hale.

He died on 1 September 1804 in Waterford.

     Daniel Green Houghton was born on 28 March 1816 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Abel Houghton and Lydia Green.

He died on 13 November 1817 in Waterford, at age 1.

     Daniel Gunn Houghton was born on 23 November 1817 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Abel Houghton and Lydia Green.

He married Susan Jane Jacobs on 7 December 1845 in Lowell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Daniel was a teamster at the time of his marriage, and a resident of Lowell.^1,2

The census of 1850 shows Daniel Gunn Houghton, age 32, a farmer; with Amelia Morse, age 58, living at Waterford.³

The census of 1860 shows Daniel G. Houghton, age 42, a farmer with $200 personal estate, and Susan J. Houghton, age 34, listed with Charles J. Houghton, Frank R. Houghton and George W. Houghton living at Sidney, Kennebec County, Maine.⁴
As of April 1869, Daniel lived at North Sidney, Kennebec County, Maine.⁵

The census of 1870 shows Daniel Gunn Houghton, age 42, with $2000 real estate and $750 personal estate, living with Daniel Jacobs, 82, living at Sidney.⁶

He died on 21 January 1877 in Sidney, at age 59.⁷ He was buried in Field Cemetery #1, Sidney, Kennebec County, Maine.⁷

     David Houghton was born on 21 July 1804 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Major Jonathan Houghton and Rachael Hale.

He died in 1804 in Waterford.

     Donald Marcellus Houghton was born on 23 April 1886. He was the son of George Edmond Houghton and Amy Frances Beaubone.¹
