     Dr. Richard John Hall was born on 9 February 1855 in Armagh, Ireland, son of Rev. Dr. John and Emily (Bolton) Hall.2,1

He married Elizabeth Boyer Coolidge, daughter of Joseph Coolidge Swett and Mary Louisa Coolidge, on 14 October 1879.1

He died on 24 January 1897 in Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, California, at age 41.1
