Oliver Hale Jr. was born on 20 June 1803 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Oliver Hale and Eunice Fletcher. On 9 March 1825 Oliver Hale Jr. owned real estate at Waterford, Bought land from Alpheus Hale. see book 24, p. 466.2
He married Harriet Waite on 29 October 1832 in Waterford.
The census of 1850 shows Oliver Hale Jr., 46, a farmer with $1,050 real estate, and Harriet W. Hale, 47, listed with Henry W. Hale, Edward O. Hale, Frederick F. Hale and Harriet E. Houghton living at Waterford. Also residing here were George Walker (age 65, b. Me., harnessmaker), and Mary McIntyre (age 47, b. N.H., pauper).3
As of 26 September 1854, Oliver lived at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine. He and Mary Ann Lincoln published their marriage intention on 26 September 1854 in Portland.
The census of 1860 shows Oliver Hale, 57, a hotel keeper with $1200 real estate, and Mary L. Hale, 46 living at Waterford. Also living there were boarders Charles W. Bailey, 26, a physician from Naples, Me; Bethiah Staples, 57, from Gorham; Lincoln Staples, 17, from Portland; and a domestic, Harriet E. Glines, 21, from Waterford.4
He married Ruth Jane Brown on 6 December 1863 as his third wife.5
He died on 16 January 1866 in Waterford, at age 62. He was buried in Elm Vale Cemetery, Waterford, Oxford County, Maine, Oliver's gravestone reads, 'Ever near us though unseen The dear departed

Pemberton Hale was born on 24 January 1771 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Joshua Hale and Hannah Pemberton.1 He moved to Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, in 1777 with Joshua Hale and Hannah Pemberton.2
Jeremiah Foster of Boxford was appointed his guardian in Dec 1777, by Hillsboro Probate Court. In Boxford he was bound out to learn the trade of a carpenter.3 He moved to Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts, in 1777 with Hannah Pemberton.4
He married Susannah Jewett , daughter of Deacon George and Sarah Jewett on 14 August 1797 in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.3
He died on 9 July 1820 in Rowley, at age 49 . Nothing of his estate appears on the Essex Probate Records.5
