James Nathan Hale was founder of the GLENDALE CENTRE THEATRE, HALE CENTER THEATERS in Salt Lake City and Orem, Utah, and the HALE THEATER in Grover, Utah.
He was faithful in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all the days of his life. He served an LDS mission to the Northern States area in 1930-31, and then again with his wife, Ruth, in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1980-81.1 He was born on 21 November 1910 in Afton, Lincoln County, Wyoming.1 He was the son of William Whittle Hale and Ella Viola Brown.1
He married Ruth Emma Hudson on 22 December 1933 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, and had seven children.1
He died on 30 January 1994 in Taylorsville, Utah, at age 83 of cancer, at his home.2 He and Ruth Emma Hale were buried in Taylorsville Memorial Park, Taylorsville, Utah.1
