     Frederick Fletcher Hale was born on 6 August 1835 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine. He was the son of Oliver Hale Jr. and Harriet Waite. He died from his clothes catching on fire on 21 January 1839 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine, at age 3. He was buried in Elm Vale Cemetery, Waterford, Oxford County, Maine, His gravestone reads, 'As the sweet flower that scents the moon but whithers
in the rising day.'

     Frederick Fletcher Hale was born on 20 June 1841 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine. He was the son of Oliver Hale Jr. and Harriet Waite. The census of 1850 shows Frederick F. Hale, 7, attending school, in the household of Oliver Hale Jr. and Harriet W. Hale, at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.¹ He and Adelaide L. McLellan published their marriage intention on 10 October 1865 in Portland.

He married Adelaide L. McLellan on 25 October 1865 in Portland, Married by Rev. A. Dalton, clergyman of Portland.

The census of 1880 shows Fred F. Hale, Fred was secretary of Lebanon Acton Mining Co. Also in the household were his aunt, Jane McLellan, 60, and a servant, Annie Haney, 33, from Nova Scotia, and Adelaide Hale, listed with Edith McLellan Hale, Frederic G. Hale and Arthur McLellan Hale living at Portland.²

     Frederick Gordon Hale was born on 25 November 1873 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine. He was the son of Frederick Fletcher Hale and Adelaide L. McLellan. The census of 1880 shows Frederic G. Hale in the household of Fred F. Hale and Adelaide Hale, at Portland.¹

     Freeman Stoddard Hale was born on 16 October 1824 in Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Jacob Hale and Betsey Brown.¹

He married Maria Sibley.¹

     Col. George Hale was born about 1756 in Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.¹

He married Hopeful Moseley, daughter of Joseph Moseley and Hopeful Robbins, on 4 January 1787 in Glastonbury. He was buried on 16 August 1803 in Catskill, Greene County, New York.¹

     George Hale was born on 26 September 1813 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Eliphalet Hale and Abigail Waters.¹

     George Emerson Hale was born on 21 November 1808 in Alstead, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of David Hale and Hannah Emerson.¹

He died on 14 November 1822 at age 13.¹

     George G. Hale was born in 1849 or 1850 in Maine.¹ He was the son of John Rupell Hale and Eleanor R. Ames.¹ The census of 1860 shows George J. Hale, 11, at school, in the household of John R. Hale and Ellen R. Hale, at Lincoln, Penobscot County, Maine.² The census of 1880 shows George G. Hale in the household of John R. Hale and Eleanor R. Hale, at Farmington, Strafford County, New Hampshire.³

     George Horatio Hale was the son of Syene Hale and Hannah Philbrick.¹

He died unmarried.¹
