     David Hale was born on 22 March 1755 in Hampstead, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of Moses Hale and Abigail Emerson.1 He moved to Rindge, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, in 1760 with Moses Hale and Abigail Emerson.2

He served a short term in the army as at volunteer at Ticonderoga in 1776, and again in Rhode Island in 1778.2

He married Mara Russell on 16 October 1777 in Rindge.2

He married Bathsheba Barker on 28 October 1780 in Rindge, as his second wife.2

He died on 22 November 1830 at age 75 . Letters of administration upon his estate were issued from the Cheshire Probate Court to Simon Davis, 4 Jan 1831.2
