     Abigail Hale was born in 1786 in Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Hale and Abigail Smith.¹

She married Jacob Tolman.¹

     Abigail Hale was born on 14 May 1777.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Hale and Mary Dole.¹

     Abigail Hale, after her father's death and her mother's remarriage, resided with her grandfather Dole at the southerly end of Crane-neck Hill in West Newbury. On the 19th Jul 1794, she went with her step-father Moses Chase, and a party of eight young persons, nine in all, to a berrying party on the north side of the Merrimac river, crossing the river in a boat in charge of Mr. Chase. A sudden storm threatening, the party hastened to reembark under the directions of Mr. Chase, but before getting across were struck by the storm, and the whole party, with the exception of Mr. Chase, including three of his children, step-sisters of Miss Hale, were drowned. The bodies were soon rescued, and the eight were buried the following day, Miss Hale separately from her grandfather's house, and she was buried in the little graveyard at the foot of Craneneck Hill. She was a girl of singular beauty and promise, and was on the eve of marriage to Mr. Moses Longfellow of Byfield, and left her work on her wedding dress to join the berrying party.      Abigail Greenleaf Hale was born about 1770 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Hale and Elizabeth ---(?)---.¹

She married Thomas Merrill.¹

     Abigail Grout Hale was born on 6 April 1817.¹ She was the daughter of Harry Hale and Lucinda Eddy.¹

She died on 13 February 1877 in Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont, at age 59, unmarried.²

     Abigail Sargent Hale was born in 1804 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Joshua Hale and Sarah Clement.¹

She died in 1805 in Worcester.²

     Achsa Hale was born on 25 August 1781 in Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Hale and Ruth Foster.¹

She married Joseph Coolidge of Gardner on 17 January 1810 in Winchendon.²

She died on 19 July 1878 at age 96.³

     Adna Hale was born in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ She is the daughter of Capt. Ambrose Hale and Hannah Symonds.¹

     Albert Barlow Hale M. D. was born say 1870. He was the son of Edwin Moses Hale M. D. and Abba Ann Wilson George.¹

He married Ida Helen Viller of Hendon, England on 16 August 1889 in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York.¹
