     Edward Hale was born on 29 October 1790 in Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Amos Hale and Sarah Day.¹

He married Susan Tolman . In addition to the two sons listed, they also had one daughter.²

     

After finishing his studies at Gardiner Lyceum, he entered a large wholesale store in Portsmouth, and a few years later opened a store himself in Saco, which he abandoned after the decease of his grandfather, Col. Josiah Little, to look after the large landed estate left to his father's family. In 1836 he settled on a large farm in Newbury, Orange County, Vermont.¹ Edward Hale was born on 8 November 1805.¹ He was the son of Thomas Hale and Alice Little.¹

He married Elizabeth L. Wigglesworth on 30 January 1837 as her second husband.¹

He died on 3 October 1886 in Newbury, at age 80, without issue.¹

     Rev. Edward Hale was born on 22 February 1858.¹ He was the son of William Bainbridge Hale and Victoria Philips of Grassdale, Louisa county, Va.¹ He was graduated in 1879 from Harvard College, and taught three years in Italy, then was graduated at the Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass 1886, and was ordained associate minister of the South Congregational Church of Boston, Mass. in Oct 1886.²

He married Emily Jose Milliken on 19 June 1889.³

     Prof Edward E. Hale was born on 18 February 1863.¹ He was the son of Rev. Edward Everett Hale D.D. and Emily Beecher Perkins.² He was graduated in 1883 from Harvard College with an A. B. degree.¹

He married Rose Perkins on 15 June 1893.¹

Prof Edward E. Hale was a professor at Union College, Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.¹ He was graduated in 1906 from Halle College with an Ph.D. degree. He was the author of Life of Lowell in 1899, and Dramatists of To-Day..¹

     Rev. Edward Everett Hale D.D. was born on 3 April 1822, son of Nathan and Sarah Preston (Everett) Hale.¹

He married Emily Beecher Perkins, daughter of Thomas Clap Perkins and Mary Foote Beecher, on 13 October 1852 in Roxbury, Norfolk County (later Suffolk County), Massachusetts.¹

He died on 10 June 1909 at age 87.¹

     Edward Oliver Hale was born on 13 May 1838 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Oliver Hale Jr. and Harriet Waite. The census of 1850 shows Edward O. Hale, 12, attending school, in the household of Oliver Hale Jr. and Harriet W. Hale, at Waterford.¹

     Edward Russell Hale was vice president of the Board of Trustees of Bradford Junior College, and a member of the American, Massachusetts, and Essex County Bar Associations. He was a Republican, and a member of the Union Club in Boston, the Harvard Club in New York City, the Stadocona Fish & Game Club in Quebec, the Federal Fire Society in Portsmouth, N.H., the Curtis Club, and the Odd Volumes Club in Boston.

He attended medical lectures at Cleveland, Ohio, in 1850 and 1851, and took his degree in medicine at Cleveland, Ohio, 1858, after he had practiced eight years. Has been a voluminous writer on Materia Medica, and his works are translated into several European languages.

He was professor of Materia Medica in Hahnemann College, Chicago, for eighteen years; in Chicago Homoeopathic College for five years, and author of the following text books:
     Materia Medica and Therapeutics of New Remedies, two volumes, five editions.
     Diseases of Women, one volume, three editions.
     Diseases of the Heart, one volume, three editions.
     Compendium of Health, one volume.²

He married Abba Ann Wilson George on 13 October 1852 in Jonesville, Hillsdale County, Michigan.³

     Elbridge Gerry Hale was born on 24 December 1811 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of Charles Hale and Sally Ricker. The census of 1820 shows Elbridge Gerry Hale in the household of Charles Hale and Sally Ricker, at Waterford.¹ The census of 1830 shows Elbridge Gerry Hale in the household of Charles Hale and Sally Ricker, at Waterford.²

He married Lucy H. Bursley.³

The census of 1850 shows Elbridge G. Hale, 35, a gentleman, and Lucy Hale, 30, listed with Eren T. Hale, Sarah F. Hale and Lucy E. Hale living at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. They were living with Osburn and Hulda Busby.⁴
As of 23 August 1860, Elbridge and Lucy lived at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, On this date, they quitclaimed their interest in the "Bradstreet Lot" in Sweden, Maine to Charles Hale.⁵

The census of 1870 shows Elbridge G. Hale, 58, a retail merchant, and Lucy Hale, 51, keeping house, listed with Charles Hale living at Barnstable.⁶

The census of 1880 shows Elbridge G. Hale, dead at 67, a farmer, and Lucy H. Bursley, dead at 67, a farmer living at Barnstable. Also in the household was Thomas Crocker, 49, a servant.⁷

He died on 13 January 1880 in West Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, at age 68 of pneumonia.⁸

     Eliphalet Hale was born on 29 July 1714 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Nathan Hale and Elizabeth Kent.¹

He married Elizabeth Jackson.² Before 1764, Eliphalet Hale moved to Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire along with Eliphalet Hale and Sarah Hale.³

He died between 23 July 1764 and 31 July 1766 in Exeter.²

     Eliphalet Hale was born on 20 May 1763 in Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of John Hale and Priscilla Peabody.¹
