She married Daniel Carey, son of Zenas Cary and Susanna Estes, on 27 November 1851 in South Reading, He was a shoemaker. They were married by Rev. S. W. Phillips of S. Reading.1 She appeared on the census of 1860 in the household of her husband, but in the home of his parents, Zenas Cary and Susan Carey, at South Reading.2

The census of 1870 shows Daniel Cary, 39, a railroad station agent with $500 personal estate, and Mary Elizabeth Green, 37, keeping house, listed with Emily B. Cary, George W. Cary, Daniel E. Cary, Mary Alice Carey and Susan Cary living at Wakefield, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
