Hazel Ginn was born on 17 June 1896 in Canton, St. Lawrence County, New York, daughter of Wellington and Addie (Baxter) Ginn.¹ She was graduated from Canton High School.¹

She married Rodney James Conant, son of Grosvenor Conant and Ada Streeter, on 1 September 1914 in Canton Methodist Church, Canton, St. Lawrence County, New York, as her first husband.¹

The census of 1930 shows Rodney Conant, 36, a farmer, and Hazel G. Conant, wife, 33, a farmer, listed with Clarence G. Conant, Avery W. Conant, Lloyd E. Conant, Harold G. Conant and Audrey E. Conant living at Canton. Also living there was a Canadian farm laborer, Alfred Leech, 34.² She and Rodney James Conant were divorced in 1937.¹

She married on 5 November 1953 Roy S. Wells of Pennsylvania, as her second husband.¹

She died on 9 May 1959 in Edward John Noble Hospital, Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York, at age 62, after a long illness.¹
