     Ruth Foster was born on 30 August 1781.1 She was the daughter of Philemon Foster and Ruth Perley.1 She and William Conant Jr., Esq. published their marriage intention on 13 November 1801, and settled in Linebrook Parish, Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.1

Ruth Foster was at one time the only member of the local church. Between 1816 and 1824, she wrote many religious letters to her neighbors and others, and in 1831 published a sixty-page pamphlet of them.2

As of 1644, William lived at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1

He married Susanna ---(?)--- and moved to Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1

In August 1652, William Foster was admitted to the church at Charlestown.1

He married Anne Brackenbury.1

He died on 8 May 1698, aged 80.1
