     William D. Angle was born in July 1886.¹ He was the son of William J. Angle and Anna J. ---(?)---.¹ The census of 1900 shows William D. Angle, 3, in the household of John A. Angle and Susan M. Angle, at 1701 S. 11th St., Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska.¹

     Alvaro Ferson Annis was born on 16 September 1850.² He was the son of Amos Hadley Annis and Henrietta Stinson Woodbury.¹ The census of 1860 shows Alvaro Annis, 9, at school, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.³

Alvaro Ferson Annis served with Co. E (New Hampshire), 1st Regiment, United States Sharpshooters in the Civil War. Alvaro F. Annis cannot be found on the rolls of this regiment, as he volunteered, was rejected during the physical, then substituted for a man who was drafted. Once he had passed the physical, which he did, and got into the army, his shooting skill was discovered and he got a transfer to the Sharpshooters. The name on the rolls was that of the man he substituted for, which he had to remember to answer to at roll call.

It was reported in the book "The Muzzleloading Caplock Rifle" by, Ned H. Roberts, who was Alvaro F. Annis' nephew (son of Lucretia Annis Roberts) that he gives credit for much of what he knows about rifles and muzzleloaders in particular, to his uncle Alvaro F. Annis. Uncle Alvaro taught him how to shoot and take care of his gun, stressing from his experiences in the field that "the first thing to be done is to feed and water your horse if you have one, then clean, oil and, if necessary, load your rifle, then get your food, wash your dishes and get wood for the next fire. If you absolutely must neglect any of these things, go without your victuals and take care of your horse and rifle first, or you may not need further victuals."⁴

He married Lizzie A. Breed on 16 February 1875 in Amherst, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁴

He died on 8 July 1907 in Amherst, at age 56.⁴

     Amos Hadley Annis was born on 7 June 1806 in Bradford, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹

He married Henrietta Stinson Woodbury, daughter of James Woodbury and Lucy Story, on 9 September 1832 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹

The census of 1850 shows Amos Annis, 44, a farmer with $2500 real estate, and Henrietta Annis, 42, listed with Lucretia Annis, Daniel Annis, Mary S. Annis, Edward Annis, Betsey Annis and Vashti Annis living at Dunbarton.² In 1853, Amos Hadley Annis moved to the former Charles Holt farm on Paige Hill, Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.¹

The census of 1860 shows Amos Annis, 53, a farmer with $3800 real estate and $700 personal estate, and Henrietta Annis, 51, listed with Daniel Annis, Edwin Annis, Vashti Annis, Betsey Annis and Alvaro Annis living at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Also in the household was Thomas Kelley, 11, at school.³ Amos Hadley Annis was a member of the Democratic Party.¹ He professed a faith in Universalism, but did not belong to a church.¹

He died on 11 June 1863 in Goffstown, at age 57.¹

     Annie Annis was born about 1868. She was the daughter of Edwin Story Annis and S. Emily Perley.¹ She died as a child.¹

     Annie Mabel Annis was born on 23 August 1884 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Edwin Story Annis and Della E. Greenwood.¹ The census of 1900 shows Mabel A. Annis, 15, at school, in the household of Edward W. Annis, at Goffstown.²

She married Harry Thorne in January 1912.¹

     Ansel Hatch Annis was born on 20 August 1809 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹

He married Ruthyan Story Woodbury, daughter of James Woodbury and Lucy Story, on 30 May 1827.¹ On 16 February 1845, he married Mary Ann Mann, of Manchester, New Hampshire, and had one child, Georgette, who was residing in California in 1894. Mary Annis (Mann) Annis died January 12, 1881 at Confidence, California..¹

He died on 13 January 1879 in Confidence, Tuolumne County, California, at age 69.¹

     Betsey Ann Annis was born on 28 March 1844 in New Hampshire.^3,4 She was the daughter of Amos Hadley Annis and Henrietta Stinson Woodbury.^1,2 The census of 1850 shows Betsey Annis, 7, at school, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁵ The census of 1860 shows Betsey Annis, 17, at school, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁶

She married Alfred Comfort on 5 March 1864.⁷

She married Freeman Young in 1868 or 1869.^8,7

The census of 1870 shows Freeman Young, a farmer with $1,200 real estate and $400 personal estate, and Betsey Young, listed with Etta Comfort and Maud Young living at Acworth, Sullivan County, New Hampshire. Freeman could neither read nor write.⁹

The census of 1880 shows Freeman Young, 35, a farmer, and Betsey A. Young, 35, keeping house, listed with Etta C. Young, Maud Young, Lilly M. Young, Free Young, Cretia Young and Roy Young living at Acworth.¹⁰
As of 1894, Betsey and Freeman lived at West Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁷

The census of 1900 shows Freeman Young, 54, a day laborer, and Bessie Young, 56, mother of eight, of whom seven were living, listed with Bessie H. Young and Thomas G. Young living at 9 Lincoln St., Penacook, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Freeman was not naturalized as of 1900.⁴

She died on 10 March 1905 in Penacook, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, at age 60.¹¹

     Clara Isabel Annis was born on 9 January 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Edwin Story Annis and Della E. Greenwood.¹

She died on 12 February 1889.¹

     Daniel Annis was born on 13 September 1835 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Amos Hadley Annis and Henrietta Stinson Woodbury.^1,2,3,4 The census of 1850 shows Daniel Annis, 15, at school, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁵ The census of 1860 shows Daniel Annis, 25, a carpenter, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁶

He married Maria Fogg There are no records of any children.⁷

The census of 1870 shows Daniel Annis, 34, a farm laborer, and Maria Annis, 29, a domestic servant, listed with Edward Annis living at Putney, Windham County, Vermont. They were living in the household of Daniel G. Roberts.⁸

Daniel Annis was a charter member and financial secretary of the Order of United Mechanics at Goffstown.⁷ He and Maria Fogg were divorced.⁷

     Daniel Edward Annis was born on 12 October 1903.¹ He was the son of Edwin Story Annis and Della E. Greenwood.¹

He died on 31 October 1903.¹

     Edward Woodbury Annis was born on 7 August 1840 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² He was the son of Amos Hadley Annis and Henrietta Stinson Woodbury.¹ The census of 1850 shows Edward Annis, 10, at school, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.³

The census of 1860 shows Edward Annis, 20, a farm laborer living with John and Sally Dunlap, living at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁴ The census of 1870 shows Edward Annis, 30, a farm laborer, in the household of Daniel Annis and Maria Annis, at Putney, Windham County, Vermont.⁵

The census of 1880 shows Edward W. Annis, a farm laborer, and Henrietta S. Annis living at Goffstown. Also in the household was Frank Rand, 11, a chore boy from Nova Scotia.⁶

The census of 1900 shows Edward W. Annis, 59, a farmer, listed with Della E. Annis, Edwin S. Annis, Mabel A. Annis, Guy F. Annis and Susie E. Annis living at Goffstown.⁷

The census of 1910 shows Edward Annis, 69, a farmer and boarder in the home of Mary Whipple, living at Center Road, Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁸

He died on 9 April 1912 in Goffstown, at age 71 . Edward never married.²

     Edwin Story Annis was born on 7 August 1840 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^2,3 He was the son of Amos Hadley Annis and Henrietta Stinson Woodbury.¹

He married Maria ---(?)--- say 1859.³ The census of 1860 shows Edwin Annis, 20, a farm laborer, in the household of Amos Annis and Henrietta Annis, at Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁴ The census of 1870 shows Edwin Annis, 30, a farmer, in the household of Henrietta Annis, at Goffstown Center, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁵ He and Maria Annis were divorced in January 1872 in Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁶

He married S. Emily Perley on 6 August 1872 in Goffstown.³

He married Della E. Greenwood on 2 June 1883.³ The census of 1900 shows Edwin S. Annis, 59, a farm laborer, in the household of Edward W. Annis, at Goffstown.⁷

He died on 11 January 1909 in Goffstown, at age 68.³

     Guy Frank Annis was born on 18 October 1886 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Edwin Story Annis and Della E. Greenwood.¹ The census of 1900 shows Guy F. Annis, 13, at school, in the household of Edward W. Annis, at Goffstown.²

He married Winnie Crane on 25 December 1908 in Goffstown.³

He died on 2 October 1909 in Goffstown, at age 22.¹
