     Erastus Foote was born on 4 March 1850 in Wiscasset, Lincoln County, Maine. He was the son of Erastus Foote and Sarah Page Wood. Erastus Foote moved to Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts as a young man, and worked for two years as a clerk in a wholesale grocery house.¹ In 1868, Erastus Foote moved to Chicago, Cook County, Illinois with his father, and became a clerk in the iron foundry and manufacturing establishment of N. S. Bouton & company. This concern was finally merged in the Union Foundry Company, of which Mr. Foote became an officer. In 1883 the Dearborn Foundry Company was established and Mr. Foote became president. His office was at the plant, 1525 Dearborn street, Chicago. He owned a summer home in his native town and spent as much time as possible at Wiscasset. He was a member of the Union League Club of Chicago, the Western Society of Engineers, and the New England Society of Chicago. In politics he was a Republican, in religion a Presbyterian.¹

He died after 1913, unmarried.¹

     Frances Foote was born about 1631 in England.¹ She was the daughter of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deming.

She married Sgt. John Dickinson in 1647.^2,3 In 1659, Frances Foote and Sgt. John Dickinson moved to Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.⁴

She married Francis Barnard of Hadley on 21 August 1677 as his second wife, and her second husband.⁴

     Frances Elizabeth Foote was born on 6 October 1835.² She was the daughter of Samuel Edmund Foote and Elizabeth Betts Elliott.¹

She married Edwin Lawrence Godkin on 27 July 1859 in Moyne, Ireland.²

She died on 11 April 1875 at age 39.²

     Frank Bond Foote was born on 8 February 1857.¹ He was the son of Henry Edward Foote M.D. and Louise Agniel.¹

He died in August 1899 at age 42.¹

     George Augustus Foote was born on 9 December 1789.² He was the son of Eli Foote and Roxanna Ward.¹
George lived at Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut.²

He married Elizabeth Spencer on 24 May 1829.²
