Andrew Fairbanks was born on 13 August 1823 in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.3 He was the son of Artemas Fairbanks and Rachel Houghton.2
He married Anne Augusta Houghton on 12 December 1850 in Boxborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.4
The census of 1860 shows Andrew Fairbanks living at Harvard.5
The census of 1860 shows Andrew Fairbank, 36, a farmer with $4000 real estate and $1000 personal estate, and Ann A. Fairbanks, 29, listed with Warren H. Fairbanks, Artemas Fairbank and Rachel Houghton living at Harvard. Andrew's and Artemas' families are listed as seperate families living in the same house. Also living Andrew's family was Ella M. Jayuith, 9, attending school. Also living Artemas' family was James Jewett, 15, attending school.6 The census of 1870 shows Andrew Fairbanks, 46, a farmer with $7000 real estate and $5000 personal estate, in the household of Artemas Fairbanks, at West Berlin P.O., Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.1
The census of 1880 shows Andrew Fairbanks, a farmer, and Ann A. Fairbank, listed with Warren H. Fairbank, Kittie A. Fairbank and Ethel A. Fairbank living at Harvard. Also in the household was a farm laborer, William H. Whitehouse, 24, from England.7

Andrew remained with his father, Artemas, on the "Fairbank Farm" which was originally cleared by their ancestor, Jabez, and had for six generations been handed down from father to son. It was one of the largest and most productive farms in the town, especially in fruits, yielding annually, in favorable years, more than two thousand barrels of apples, and was also one of the largest milk farms in the town.4

Artemas Fairbanks was born on 3 November 1787 in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.2
He married Rachel Houghton, daughter of Major Jonathan Houghton and Rachael Hale, on 25 January 1816.2 The census of 1860 shows Artemas Fairbank, 72, a farmer with $1000 personal estate, in the household of Andrew Fairbank and Ann A. Fairbanks, at Harvard.3
The census of 1870 shows Artemas Fairbanks, 82, a farmer with $2000 real estate and $2000 personal estate, Also living there were Minnie French, 13, without occupation, attending school; and Emily Merriam, 41, keeping house, listed with Andrew Fairbanks, Ann A. Fairbanks and Warren H. Fairbanks living at West Berlin P.O., Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts.1
He died on 22 July 1874 at age 86.2
