She married Emerson J. Cary, son of Emerson J. Cary and Lydia D. Davenport, on 7 January 1892 in North Adams, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, by Eugene M. Frary, pastor of the Congregational Church.¹

     Bertha Maude Clay was born on 29 October 1884 in West Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, daughter of Chas. H. and Armina S. (Wentworth) Clay.¹

She married Benjamin W. Lake, son of Henry G. Lake and Emily Cates, in 1903 or 1904.²

The census of 1910 shows Benjamin W. Lake, a general farm laborer, and Bertha M. Clay living at Main Street, Atkinson, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Also living with them was Benjamin's father-in-law, Charles H. Clay, 62 and listed as married for 40 years, a laborer at odd jobs, and a niece, Althea M. Clay, 6 years old.²

The census of 1920 shows Benjamin W. Lake, a farm laborer, and Maude B. Lake, listed with Marion F. Lake living at Main Street, Atkinson. Also in the household was Nenjamin's father-in-law, Charles H. Clay, 71, and still listed as married.³

     Frank Damon Clough was born on 30 December 1857 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, son of Mandley & Lydia W. Clough.¹

He married Elvira A. Colby, daughter of David Austin Colby and Ann S. Davis, on 24 June 1880 in Bow.²

He died in 1943 in Bow.¹ He and Elvira A. Colby were buried in Evans (North) Cemetery on White Rock Hill Rd, by Turee Pond, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, in the same plot with Harry D. Clough, Ann S. Page, Alfred C. Carson and Rae P. Clough.³

     George Gilbert Clough was born in 1848 or 1849 in New Hampshire son of Luther Clough.^1,2

He married Rozetta F. Buntin, daughter of John Johnson Buntin and Susan H. Hammond, on 14 May 1873.¹

The census of 1880 shows George G. Clough, a farmer, and Rosetta F. Clough, listed with Mabel A. Clough living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.²

He died in 1889.³

     Harry David Clough was born on 1 October 1881 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^1,2 He was the son of Frank Damon Clough and Elvira A. Colby.¹

He married Ann S. Page about 1909.³

     Olney Bernard Clough was born on 15 July 1868 in Peabody, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Otis J. Clough Jr. and Eliza Ann Hammond.² The census of 1880 shows Olney B. Clough in the household of Otis J. Clough Jr. and Eliza Clough, at North Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.²

     Adelaide Irene (Isaida) Colby was born on 27 December 1865 in Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts.² She was the daughter of Gilbert L. Colby and Theresa Jane Wetherbee.¹ The census of 1870 shows Adelaide I. Colby in the household of Gilbert L. Colby and Jane T. Colby, at Fitchburg.³ The census of 1880 shows Adelaide Irene (Isaida) Colby, 14, at school, in the household of Gilbert L. Colby and Thursa J. Colby, at Fitchburg.¹

She married Everett Delos Knapp on 12 March 1884 in Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.²

The census of 1910 shows E. D. Knapp, 52, a woodwork machinist, and Addie I. Knapp, 44 living at 506 Central Ave., Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.⁴

The census of 1920 shows Everett Knapp, 62, a factory laborer, and Attie Knapp, 57 living at 813 Olive Street, Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.⁵

The census of 1930 shows Everett Knapp, 72, a carpenter for an amusement company, and Addie Knapp, 66 living at 813 Olive Street, Leavenworth. They owned their home, worth $800.⁶

She died on 26 August 1938 at age 72.² She was buried in Mount Muncie Cemetery, Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.²

     Alvah H. Colby was born on 26 February 1855 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^2,3 She was the daughter of Elijah Sullivan Wheeler Colby and Mahala R. Hartford.¹ The census of 1870 shows Alva H. Colby, 14, at school, in the household of S. W. Colby and Elizabeth Colby, at Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan.⁴

She died on 2 October 1887 in Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, at age 32.² She was buried in the Martin Cemetery, Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.²

     Amos W. Colby was born on 29 August 1868 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^2,3,4 He was the son of Irad Colby and Azuba A. Whitcher.¹ The census of 1870 shows Amos Colby, 2, in the household of Willowby Colby and Betsey Colby, at Bow.⁵ The census of 1880 shows Amas W. Colby, son, 11, at school, in the household of Irad Colby and Azuba A. Colby, at Bow.⁶

     Andrew Glass Colby was born in 1819 in New York.² He was the son of Moses Colby and Betsey Glass.¹

     Anna Pauline Colby was born on 15 May 1878 in 34 Woodward, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur A. Colby and Rebecca P. Smith.^2,3 The census of 1880 shows Annie P. Colby in the household of Arthur A. Colby and Rebecca P. Colby, at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁴

     Carolyn L. Colby was born on 27 May 1924 in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² She is the daughter of Solon Baker Colby and Marion Shirley Paine.¹

She married Mark Alfred Brouillette on 26 August 1946.³

     Carroll Staniels Colby was born on 28 February 1908 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.² He was the son of Orlando Herbert Clarence Colby and Grace Marion Huff.¹
