Elizabeth Cooper was born on 23 August 1819 in Hamilton County, Ohio, daughter of Justus and Hannah Cooper.1
She married Reubin Chamberlain, son of David M. Chamberlain and Hannah Bridge, on 18 October 1838 in Logan County, Ohio, as her first husband.1
She married on 11 November 1846 H. N. Wilcox, as her second husband. They had eight children. He was of Silver Creek, Hardin County, Ohio, son of Thomas and Hannah (Gates) Wilcox. H. N. and Elizabeth were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church for upward of twenty years, and he was Class Leader, Steward and Trustee for many years. He filled the public offices of Township Trustee, Supervisor and School Director for many years. He died in 1853.1
