Sarah A. Converse was born on 3 August 1844 in Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, Daughter of Alexander H. and Nancy Converse.1 She was previously married to a Mr. Wentworth.2
She married George A. Colby, son of Levi Colby and Dolly Green Davis, on 17 January 1870 in Hooksett.3
The census of 1880 shows George D. Colby, George worked on the railroad. Also in the household were his mother-in-law, Namey Converse, 65; a servant, Harriett Converse, 25; and Samuel C. Head, 19, who worked in a cotton mill, and Sarah A. Colby, listed with Katie B. Colby living at Hooksett.4
She died on 7 August 1913 in Hooksett, at age 69.5 She was buried in Head Cemetery, Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.5

Maj. Aaron Cook was born in 1609/10.1 He was baptized on 20 March 1613/14 in Bridport, Dorset, England.
Aaron lived at Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 In 1636, Maj. Aaron Cook moved to Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.1
He married about 1637 Mary Ford, his step-sister, daughter of Thomas Ford and Joan Way. She was baptized 18 Aug 1612 in Powerstock, Dorset. They had Joanna, bapt. 5 Aug 1638; Aaron, 21 Feb 1641; Miriam, 12 Mar 1643; and Moses, 16 Nov 1645.1
He married about 1650 as his second wife, Joan Denslow, daughter of Nicholas Denslow and Elizabeth Doling, They had Samuel, 21 Nov 1650; Elizabeth 7 Aug 1653; and Noah, 14 Jun 1657, The second wife died Apr 1676.1 In 1661, Maj. Aaron Cook moved to Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.1

Also living there was a servant, Anna Anderson, 23, from Sweden, also attending school.1

(There is some indication that these two may have occupied their own apartment.).2
