Capt. Daniel Conant was born on 11 January 1775, son of William and Mary (Perkins) Conant of Ipswich.1
He married Sarah Chapman, daughter of Joseph Chapman and Mary Perley, on 21 March 1800.1
He married Lucy Perley, daughter of John Perley and Lydia Perley, on 26 March 1811 as his second wife, her second husband, and lived in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.2
He died on 11 May 1850 at age 75.3 He was buried in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown, Essex County, Massachusetts, , and his epitaph reads:—
The bounds of man's appointed years at last.
Life's blessings all enjoyed, life's labors done,
Serenely to his final rest has gone..4
