Moses lived at Newton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.1 He was born on 26 June 1723 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Samuel Colby and Anna Nickols.

He married Mary Sargent on 24 February 1742 in Amesbury.1 He and Mary Sargent were members of at Second Church, Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, in 1744 Moses and Mary renewed the covenant.1 He was baptized on 18 March 1743/44 in Second Church, Amesbury.1 In 1773, Moses Colby moved to Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2

He died in 1797.3

     Moses Colby was born on 7 June 1751 in Newton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.2 He was the son of Moses Colby and Mary Sargent.1 He was baptized on 21 July 1751 in Second Church, Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.1
As of from 1761 to 1766, Moses lived at Jamaica, Windham County, Vermont.3 In 1766, Moses Colby moved to South Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.3 On 30 November 1776, Moses Colby enlisted at South Hampton, New Hampshire as a Sergeant under Captain Ballard, in the New Hampshire Line, to fill up a company. He was stationed in the college buildings at Cambridge, Massachusetts for two and a half months, then was discharged.3 In November 1777, Moses Colby enlisted at South Hampton for four months under Captain Page, served out his entire term at Winter Hill, Massachusetts, and was discharged at the end of his term.3

He married Miriam Barnard on 17 February 1778 in South Hampton.4

On 1 October 1778 Moses Colby enlisted at South Hampton under Captain Prescott. He marched to Worcester, Massachusetts, thence to Peekskill, New York, and served out the full term of two months. He never received a written discharge, but served eight and a half months.3 After the revolution, Moses Colby moved to Warner, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

He married Susanna Silver on 27 September 1790 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.5

He died on 25 September 1832 in Warner, at age 81.6

     Moses Colby was born on 17 December 1820 in the Bog District, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of Williby Colby and Betsey M. Morgan.1

He married Elizabeth Clement, daughter of John Clement and Hannah Hammond, on 11 September 1842 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, . They were third cousins.2

The census of 1880 shows Moses Colby, Moses was a farmer. His daughter Martha was a servant, and daughter Sarah was a teacher, and Elizabeth E. Colby, listed with Martha Colby, Sarah E. Colby and Mabel Colby living at Piermont, Grafton County, New Hampshire.3 He died on 30 September 1885 in Piermont, at age 64 of a liver ailment.4

Colby in the household of Nathaniel Colby and Hepsibeth Woodbury, at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

He married Lucy P. Poor on 7 May 1868 in New Hampshire.4

The census of 1880 shows Moses Colby, a piper, and Lucy Colby, listed with Norris Colby, Edward Colby and John Colby living at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.5

He died on 11 November 1907 in Manchester, at age 62.2 He and Lucy Poor Colby were buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, in the same plot with Edward H. Colby.6

She served on the School Board, Town Budget Committee, Bow Memorial School Building Committee, and was Supervisor of the Checklist.2 She was born on 23 May 1913 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2 She was the daughter of Frank Edgar Colby Jr. and Hazel Mabel Myers.1 She was graduated in 1931 from Concord High School.2

She married William T. Howard on 8 August 1936 in Merrimack, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.2 She was named "Citizen of the Year" in 1976.2

She died on 14 November 1993 in Bow, at age 80.2 She and William T. Howard were buried in Alexander Cemetery on River Road, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2

     Nancy Colby was born on 20 October 1806 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.2 She was the daughter of John Colby and Maria Davis.1

She married James Benson on 20 May 1830 in Hooksett, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.3

The census of 1880 shows James Benson, 73, a farmer, and Nancy Benson, wife, 72, keeping house, listed with Nancy Benson and John C. Benson living at Bow.4

She died on 25 May 1885 in Bow, at age 78.5,6
